working out

I did it! Well I did day one of the 30 day shred! Yay for me. It kinda kicked my butt this morning but it's a step in the right direction! Let's hope I can keep it up!

Costumes

What oh what should we be for halloween? We are actually attending a party next weekend and I am so confused about what or who to be. Cameron could really care less so I think it is up to me. At first I thought we could be vampires but then Cameron mentioned the fangs might get old after a few drinks.

It was so much easier as a kid!

IPhone

I got an Iphone today! Yay! It's actually my husband's old one. He upgraded to the new one so I got his. I am still excited. Now if I could only figure out how everything works!?

Pumpkins!

So, every year my husband's family comes up with a competition for all of us. Most years it is a cook- off of some sort. Cameron and I are the reigning champs! This year was different. My mother-in-law decided that we would have a pumpkin carving competition.

Cameron, Molly,my future sister-in-law, and Angelia, my mother-in-law, just getting started!

Cameron, hard at work transferring the pattern onto the pumpkin.

Me, concentrating very hard!

Angelia doing the same!

Molly working very hard!

It got rather dark outside so we had to hold flashlights up. This is my brother-in-law, Andrew!

I was holding a flashlight for Cameron!

This is the in-laws finished pumpkin!

They claimed they came in first place but they did not!

Our pumpkin!

We won first place!
Andrew and Molly left before I could get a picture of them and their pumpkin!
Overall, it was alot of fun even if the competition got a little heated at times!
By the way, we live in Georgia and it was in the 30's last night! Very chilly!

MDA Walkathon

My beautiful niece, Caileigh, is 5 years old. She was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy a few years back. Every year, the Muscular Dystrophy Association hosts a walk-a-thon through the Atlanta Zoo. These pictures are from last year's walk.
We all wore shirts supporting Caileigh!

This is a picture of Taia, my 3 year old niece!!

I think they had alot of cotton candy...just what they needed!!!
This year's walk-a-thon is on November 7th! We are all very excited to go and support everyone with MD but especially Caileigh! My sister has a website dedicated to her and MD research! Please feel free to visit it!

The girls!

I do not get to see my family as much as I would like to. I have family in Indiana, Texas, and Louisiana. I also have family here in Georgia that you would think I would see on a normal basis but all of our lives are so hectic these days. I wish I could see everyone more often.
This is from 2 years ago. My mom came up from Florida and we all went out to dinner.

This is a picture from July of Shauna, Rachel, and me. We don't have that many pictures of just the 3 of us.

This is Caileigh on her 5th birthday!

This is Taia, Rachel's daughter.
I hope they know how much I love them all. Hopefully we can get together soon! Cameron and I will cook!!

Our house!

This is our house. The picture is from when we had a ton of snow in February!

This is the guest bedroom. My in-laws actually helped decorate it. We have had several people stay here, including our friends from Germany!

This is our breakfast nook. Sorry the picture is not so great. The table is a loaner until we can find one but I like it!

Our house has 2 living rooms separated by a fireplace. This side is the library! We have alot of plans for this in the coming year!

This is the master bedroom. The picture makes it seem small but it is a very large room. It is painted a very soft grey-blue color. We are looking into getting a four poster california king size bed at the beginning of 2010!

This is the main living room. Again, sorry the picture is not the best. This is also going to get a major overhaul. We need a new couch and Cameron is going to build in the tv as well as put rock up the chimney!

This is our kitchen. I love it because of how big it is. The paint color is Hazel Woods by Ralph Lauren!

Our red dining room. I really liked it at first but I think we will be changing it here soon. We are also on the hunt for a bigger table.

Our Wedding day, 2 years ago!

I did not have a blog when I got married obviously so I am going to post a few pictures today.

We got married on July 28, 2007 on St. Simon's Island, Georgia. It rained harribly but they say that rain on your wedding day is good luck!

We had a very small wedding. My mom was able to make it, as well as one of my sisters, Rachel. Shauna was not there, nor was Brianne.
Cameron's mom and dad were there, as well as his brother, Andrew, and his fiance, Molly. His Grandmother and Papa Lee were there too. And one of his very good friends, Eric, made it down.
My dad passed away 6 years ago. It was very hard to get through this day without him. I carried a single rose down the aisle and placed it on an empty cahir for him. I know he was there in spirit!

Play On

I am a huge Carrie Underwood fan and have been for awhile. I can't wait for her new record to come out next month! I have her newest song in my ipod for the gym! Think I'm going to listen to it now!

Clawfoot tub!

So this is random but at the Montaluce winery there is a neighborhood designed to resemble home from Italy. I have never been to Italy but from what I could tell, they look pretty close.
Anyways, in the show home they had this amazing bathtub! I love it! It reminds me of the bathtub from The Notebook, which is my favorite movie!

Cameron had to take one of me in the tub! I told him that I want one when we move to a new house, which will not be for several years. A girl can dream though!

Georgia Wineries!

Yesterday, hubby and I, along with his parents headed to Dahlonega, Geaorgia to tour some of the wineries. I am not a huge wine fan but it was a nice day out!

This is Montaluce Winery

This was Frogtown Winery

This was Wolf Mountain

The owners of the winery actually had a wolf as a pet. He passed but this is his statue at the tasting bar.

I did sample some of the wine at Wolf Mountain and Frogtown! Even if you don't like wine the scenery makes the trip worth the drive.
