Labor Day

We spent our Labor Day at my in-laws house. Lucky for us they live on a private lake. Unlucky for us, the temp was actually below 90 so the water was a bit chilly. I think I stayed in for all of 5 minutes before I jumped out!
I decided to take most of the pictures with my I-phone because I wanted to play around with the shake-it app, which I love. My husband did take a lot of pictures with our Rebel but these were more fun!

Way off in the distance is an actual water car. They kept going across the lake and driving off and then rushing back into the water. Kinda cool. The water looks really blue too! It was a beautiful labor day in Georgia!

My sweet husband. this was after he tried to get one of our dogs to "get the ball." She would not!

This is Puppy. She likes to roll around in the sand.

Elephant ears. Not sure if that's the real name but that's what we call them. My in-laws have a water feature and these have taken over. They just sprout up whereever they please. i love them because they blow in the wind. And they are huge. some are bigger than my head! I'm a nerd!

Another view of the lake. It really was a pretty day. And very calm.

Andrew and Molly (my brother-in-law and sister-in-law) and one of their dogs, Jasmine. She had worn out the pads on her paws so they were trying to put baby socks on her. It didn't work.

Molly was throwing the ball for all four dogs. We have 2 and they have 2. It's a lot of legs running around!

Cameron and Andrew.

Just a pretty view walking down the driveway. Cameron had wanted to stay home but I was so excited to get outside!

Butterfly!

This is Lucy, my in-laws yorkie. Her chip had just fallen out of her mouth. I thought this was funny!

Last but not least, me and my hubby. Not the best picture but hey, it's still a picture!

Ready For Fall

I am so unbelievably ready for fall that I almost can't stand it. I even painted my toenails a nice, plum shade last night. My husband made fun of me but I like how they look!!
So today I thought that I would post a few things I hope find a way into my closet this fall! Fingers crossed!
I am a huge J. Crew fan and I love this cardigan. The collar is really big and it gives it some character! Looks cozy. I actually like the whole outfit. The layers are great! So is the jewelry!

Aren't these boots from Anthropologie fantastic? I am in love with them! The heel is not high and the bows are awesome!

This blouse is beautiful. I work with kids but I try not to dress like a bum because then I feel like a bum and that is no way to feel all day long. It's also from Anthro.

Love this whole outfit. It's put together and polished but still looks comfortable. I think that i could chase kids around all day but run out and grab dinner with friends or my husband. Anthropologie rocks!

Having a hard time narrowing it down the just a few pieces. gap has some nice things too. The problem is that right now, as I'm typing this, it's 95 degrees outside. Ugh! We are having a little bit of a cool down this week but it's Georgia, the weather is very unpredictable. I'll just keep dreaming for now!!

Celebrating 3 years!

Our 3 year anniversary is tomorrow but since we will both be at work we decided that we would celebrate it on Saturday! The original plan was to go to lunch and then to see Inception but I am not so smart and I looked at the times for the wrong theater so we never made it to the movie. :(
Oh well, the day turned out wonderful anyway!
This is at Cameron's parents house. We wound up over there for dinner and an evening swim in the lake!

We decided on a Japaneses steakhouse for lunch so that Cameon could have sushi. Sorry for the poor quality, my Iphone doesn't take the best pictures!

Cameron's not the biggest fan of having his picture taken. Not sure what he's thinking about...maybe he wants to pound me!! Hope not!!

Cameron's parents live on a private ski lake. It was nice and calm which is quite surprising on a Saturday evening but it was nice for us!

He's so handsome!
I may be the aspiring photographer but Cameron's not too shabby!!

Tomorrow I will have pictures from our wedding. Our photographer was not so great but some of the pictures are ok.

It's hard to believe that 3 years ago I was getting ready to marry my best friend! Our wedding wasn't quite what I imagined it would be but the end result is exactly what I always wished for! We got married at The King and Prince on St. Simon Island, Ga.

This is my favorite picture from our wedding and it was my idea to do this. I am so happy with how it turned out.

Not sure what we were laughing at but it must have been funny!

The window behind us was a beautiful stained glass window.

We don't look too shabby here! I loved my wedding dress. It was from JCrew but I got it off ebay for about half the price!

My feet were killing me by the time we took this picture but I like the feel of it!

Again, our photographer was not the best and he did not get any pictures of the ceremony worth keeping, not even of our first kiss, but that's not what matters! What matters is that we were married and that we are still going strong.

Working towards my dream!

Yesterday was an amazing day for me. My dream is to be a photographer but I am no good at Photoshop! It is very confusing and quite intimidating to be honest! Well, Lauren, a local photographer that I have been working with, sat down with me and helped me alot. I am still not very confident but I understand it a little bit more!

This handsome boy is Locke. I am his nanny and I love taking pictures of him and his little brother! Lauren said this picture was really good but that the lighting was a little warm and that it would look awesome as a black and white!

So that's exactly what we did. It actually took about 30 minutes to get from the top picture to this one but that's because I had no idea what I was doing. I absolutely love it!

This little booger is Holt, Locke's little brother. Again, Lauren said this was a really good picture but we turned it into a black and white to match!

I think it still took 30 minutes and that's because I did it by myself and Lauren guided me.

I think they are both pretty amazing. I'm going to print them out and give them to their parents as an anniversary present!
Overall, I'm pretty excited with where I'm headed. It's a slow process because there is a lot to learn and it's a little bit and trial and error but it's fun to be working towards something I love!

Agh...Migraine

So I basically spent all day in bed with a horrible migraine. I suffer from migraines and I have since I was 13.
5 months ago I started taking Topamax and it seemed to be working but this is the 2nd really bad migraine I have had in 2 days. I have been in so much pain that I have been nauseous. Anyways, since I have been in bed all day, I have been indulging in Gossip Girl and Friends!
I love Gossip Girl for the style and the stuff that never happens in real life. Well it never happens in my life!! Plus Chase Crawford is super adorable despite his mugshot.

I have been a Friends fanatic forever. We own all the seasons on DVD and I watch them all the time. I may be a nerd but they sure do make me happy, epecially on days like today!

This is a great episode. Rachel needs eye drops and she can't do it herself because she hates when things get too close to her eye, or anyone else's for that matter. I can relate to that because I am the exact same way. I can't stand to put eye drops in my eye.
Anyways, that's been my day. Hopefully this migraine will be gone when I wake up in the morning. Tomorrow is Friday!! Yay!!
