5 pictures are better than 3!

Cameron and I have both been sick. He's had the flu and I've had an ongoing sinus infection. We are horrible to be around but I think it's coming to an end!

Here are last weeks pictures! I only missed 2 days, Monday and Saturday! I'm proud of myself so far! It's actually really hard to take a picture every single day, especially if there is nothing going on that day! I must try harder!

Sunday, January 23, 2011: We were driving home from dinner with the in-laws! The sun was setting and I was taking pictures out of the window. This makes me love living in the country! You can't really tell but there is rolling farm land where it is blacked out! And I love how that one tree stands out!

Thursday, January 27, 2011: We downgraded our phones! Boo! As I mentioned, Cameron lost his job so we are cutting back on some things and one of those is data on our phones so bye-bye I-phone! My phone is has a full keyboard so that I can text like I am used to doing. I could not even imagine going back to a flip-phone!



Friday, January 28, 2011: Finally what a winter day is supposed to feel like in Georgia! I took the boys to the botanical gardens and it was a beautiful afternoon. This picture is dark around them but I love the sun and their shadows!

I'm going to try and be a more consistent blogger! I have a couple lined up already, I just have to pick the photos and then get them posted! Hope you are all enjoying your Sunday!

Late Project 365

Time got away from me this past week and weekend so I am only posting 3 pictures from LAST week. And they are from my phone but I was at work with the boys. Hopefully this week will be better!

One of our favorite places to go is the bookstore!

This one should be last but I messed it up. Holt had me resetting this game for 30 minutes! It was insane but it sure did make him happy!

Poor Locke! He turned 5 on the 20th and the afternoon before he came down with a stomach virus. He was pitiful! But he bounced back a few days later!

So this week my husband has had the flu and I have had a horrible sinus infection. We are miserable! :( And to top it off, I turn 28 tomorrow. I'm not ready to be 28. I don't think I have accomplished anything that I should have accomplished in my 28 years! Oh well, what can you do?

Thursday, Cameron is taking me to lunch and a movie of my choice! It's probably going to be No Strings Attached! And we're getting new phones but dropping our service down to get rid of the internet. Boo. Oh well, it has to be done!

Now I'm off to heat up my Breathe Deep tea and get ready to make grilled cheese and soup for dinner! Enjoy your evening!

Not such a great week :(

This week has not been such a great one. Without going into too much detail, my handsome hubby has lost his job and has to see a doctor for something that is ailing him. They are not related at all. He told me early in the week about the doctor and then he found out yesterday about the job. I guess when it rains it pours.

It stinks because our insurance is through his job. We'll have it for 30 days but I'm on a medication for my migraines and without insurance it will cost me. We'll be fine but it just seems that every time we get in a good place something comes along and bites us in the rear end. Oh well, that's life I suppose.

In other news, we have a fun lunch planned tomorrow with my family. I'm super excited to see my nieces and to eat at a hibachi! Those are always a lot of fun! I'm sure I'll have lots of pictures from that! Hope everyone is enjoying their Friday!

A little venting and 365 Project

Going back to work on Friday was harder than I thought it would be. Followed by the fact that I worked all day yesterday and I'm about to go work all day today at a place where I should only be taking pictures. That was confusing even to me. Any whoooo....here are the rest of last weeks Project 365 photos!

Belle really wanted to me to throw the ball and get the camera out of her face! Once I took this picture, she got her wish!

I have wanted a pair of Toms for such a long time! I ordered these at the end of December but since we were hit with the snow and ice, they just arrived on Friday! I love them and I'm already dreaming about a pair of red ones for summer!

As I said, I worked yesterday. It was awful. Plus my husband who was supposed to go to the store to get dinner, found out that he had left his lights on so his battery was dead. It was a horrible day so we had takeout. Very unhealthy but oh so yummy! And this fortune was worth it!

Now I must go get ready for another awful day. I was just supposed to be taking pictures at a birthday party. You know, perfecting my skills and allowing parents to enjoy their childs party. Now I must take the photos and run the place! Oh joy!

I am so excited that the mail is finally running again! Over the weekend I ordered some prints for our bedroom and I have been on pins and needles waiting for them! Well, they came today and I am just so excited that I had to post them here.

Fiesta Fashion

I am dreaming about warmer weather. Really a vacation would be nice. And this morning in my email was a message from Shop Bop regarding Fiesta Fashion. Now normally I would not pay any attention to these emails because the prices are way out of my budget but since I am dreaming today, I created a polyvore set.

And now I just need to convince my handsome hubby that we need to book a trip to the Mexican Riviera. Or a cruise. Or just anywhere that is warm right now. And then I need to convince him that I need most of the following in my closet!
I believe that he will laugh at me!

Ice, Ice, Baby!!

Happy middle of the week lovelies! I have not even started my week seeing as that I am not going in to work yet again. But what can you do when your neighborhood is covered in ice? Let's just hope that it melts away so we can head out for some food.

I'm up before Cameron, waiting for my coffee to brew and decided to post a few pictures. I let our dogs out this morning and one of them decided to try and make it down the hill which is just a sheet of ice. So enjoy the photos!

So bored right now...

I am so over the snow and ice that we have. I've been stuck in the house for 2 days and I am going CRAZY! It's not looking so great for tomorrow. Our driveway and neighborhood roads are just sheets of ice. It's absolutely insane outside.

So here are the past 4 Project 365 pictures. I was going to wait until Sunday but considering I am running out of things to do, I thought I would go ahead and post them tonight.

Ahhhh...this is when it had only been snowing for about 30 minutes. Should have known then what we were in for. It was coming down so hard!

I made snow cream last night! So good even though I was missing the vanilla! Oh well....it was delicious!

We are running out of stuff to cook! We had spaghetti tonight which is so good on a cold night but I usually go to the grocery store on Tuesday...uh-oh! Hopefully we can get out at some point tomorrow or we'll be walking to Publix!

So that's that! My hubby has been enthralled in World of Warcraft the past couple of days. I'm about to go finish watching Letters to Juliet and drink some tea and dream about warmer weather. Hope y'all have a great night!

Snow Day

It snowed! And I know that it just snowed a few weeks ago but still, when you live in the south it's very exciting. When it snows here it means everything shuts down. No work! Yay!

I won't be going to work tomorrow. The road are frozen where we live. It's so dangerous to drive especially if you're like me and drive a Corolla. Oh well, I'll just be hibernating, blogging, and trying to find some ideas for our bedroom makeover.

Fill in The Blank...Sunday?

Hi lovelies! I completely forgot to do this on Friday and then again yesterday so here I am today! I love "Fill in the blank Friday" from Lauren so even though it's Sunday morning, here are mine!




1) Winter is so cold it hurts but not cold enough for snow most of the time. Although it's already snowed here once and we're supposed to get a lot tonight and tomorrow!

2) Summer is bright and cheerful but also humid. I hate the humidity in the south.

3) If it were summer right now instead of winter I'd be at the pool or at my in-laws house out on the lake just soaking up the sunshine!

4) My favorite thing to do in winter is sit by the fire and read or blog and drink coffee or tea. Anything inside really!

5) My favorite thing to do in summer is to be by any body of water because then it doesn't really matter how humid or hot it is. And I love for my husband to grill and to sit on patios and drink iced tea or margaritas!

6) The ideal outfit for a sunny summer day is a dress and sandals and sunglasses and my hair piled up on my head

7) The ideal outfit for a frigid winter day is layered tops so you can shed them when you get inside, thick socks, and boots! And a hat and gloves! And pants!

I wish summer was closer. It's been so cold here in Georgia lately. They're calling for 5-7 inches of snow in metro Atlanta tonight and more up north. I live an hour north of Atlanta! Uh-oh! We'll see what happens!

365- Days 6 and 7

I'm sitting here waiting for my hubby to get home from work so that we can run to my in-laws for a quick workout and lunch. Thought I would post days 6 and 7 of Project 365.

I've started doing a little yoga and I'm not very good at it, nor am I very limber but I love it just the same. Plus I recently learned how to set my camera's self-timer! So here I am in a not so great tree pose!

Ahhhh....Burt's Bee's! When I first started dating Cameron he was always very minty! This is why! I converted shortly after and never looked back. No other chap stick works on me! 2 of these were in my purse and 2 were beside my bed....I'm not really sure why I need that many!

365 Project

I have done a great job so far of taking pictures every day. The hard part is finding one to use at the end of the day. Here is what I have from January 1-5. I don't have todays yet but I am working on it! Maybe it should be of the computer because that's where I've been since about 8:30 this morning!

Peace for the new year! I was home alone watching old episodes of house drinking my chai tea!

Dinner! This is a flank steak rolled around parmesean cheese and spinach! It's from Publix and it is yummy!

My new lens! I got this for Christmas from the family I work for and I absolutley looove it!

Ahhhh...my chai tea brewing and my favorite mug that I got in Vail a few years ago. It's so heavy i think it could knock someone out!

This is Holt. He's 3 and at an age now where he doesn't sit still very long. His older brother went back to school yesterday and it was just me and him!

Hi all! I've been working on my blog and I realized that my pictures are really tiny. I think I fixed that. This is really just a test post but the pictures is kind of funny! My husband took this of me after a few glasses of champagne on New Year's eve! Enjoy!

What we've been up to!

I don't know how time gets away from me but it sure does! This post is somewhat picture heavy so be prepared!!

Christmas time is a busy time in the Smith household. We juggle 4 Christmas celebrations the week of Christmas. This year was a bit different because Christmas with my family got cancelled due to the snow and the flu! Oh well, there's always next year!

Christmas Eve is huge in my hubby's family. My mother-in-law cooks the same meal every year; Winder Chicken Stew; and it is delicious!

This year my MIL started a new tradition where she strung ornaments over the dining room table and we each got three but not just any three! We got three that best suited us! I like the idea! It's a great way to build our ornament collection!


Christmas day! We were supposed to spend it with my mom, sister and niece! But oh the snow! Well, that, and the fact that my poor mom caught the flu from my niece! So Cameron and I stayed bundled up inside all day!

New Year's Eve! We don't ever go out. So I planned a date for us at home! I picked up steak and asparagus and fresh bread! Oh, and a few bottles of champagne!

Here's the table all set! We ate by candlelight! Reminded me of the night Cameron proposed!

We didn't make it till midnight but in our defense, we both had to work that day! Oh well, it was perfect for us!

So that's what we've been up to the past few weeks! Nothing super exciting!
